We are a young and innovative mattress company that combines cutting-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship to deliver unparalleled comfort and support for a good night's sleep.
teddy was born out of an idea in 2021 and launched first in New Zealand in 2022 and now in Australia with a mission to revolutionize the way we sleep.
Although we are a young company (compared to our peers), our founder has over 20 years of personal experience in the mattress industry and comes from four generations of mattress making. This expertise, combined with our passion for innovation, has allowed us to create a unique and exceptional mattress that exceeds expectations.
At teddy, we believe that the foundation of a good day starts with a good night's sleep. That's why we have invested heavily in research and development to create a product that is not only comfortable but also improves the overall quality of sleep.
Nature in mind
We’re used to pushing limits, striving for more and seeking solutions to challenges. That drive to dream big is what took our founder to the summits of the world’s toughest mountain tops in the planet’s most breathtaking environments. It was in the conquering of these peaks that he realised that a love of our beautiful planet demands participation in the fight to save it.
Calling on over 20 years experience, and four generations of mattress-making in his blood, teddy’s founder imagined a mattress that offered the most supportive night’s sleep, while reducing harm to the planet.

When we sleep, our deepest desires manifest as wild dreams about tomorrow. Teddy mattresses cater to all dreamers, big and small, who aim for a better tomorrow through responsible choices.
Every Teddy partner in the supply chain will be ESG rated by 2025. Our materials are OEKO-TEX® 100 certified and REACH approved. We contribute time, services, and sales proceeds to ONETREEPLANTED in Australia.
Our business activities, from timber sourcing to spring production, result in pollution. To mitigate this, we use recycled ocean plastic, upcycled steel, and ethically-sourced timber.
While it may seem small, sustainability begins with these steps. Teddy will continually improve, aspiring to be Australia's most sustainable mattress company.
